Week 12

Banner - Lunch of the Week

Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful week! I’ve been busy tweaking the site, and I’m sure you’ve noticed a lot of changes! The site has gotten a bit of a facelift between the change in venue, the logo and the theme, and overall I feel like it’s a vast improvement. I’m also replacing some of my older photos (before I discovered the wonders of natural lighting!) if you want to see my new work, head on over to my Fettuccine Alfredo recipe and my Chicken and Vegetable Soup recipe!

If you notice any dead links or things that are amiss, please do not hesitate to contact me. I feel like I’ve gone over everything five times but there’s always a chance I may have missed something.

Now, on to the lunches! This week you’ll start to see the lunches getting a little more basic and inventive at the same time. Mr. Nomato has been reacting badly to something in his lunches recently, and we’re not quite sure what it is, or why it has begun affecting him, so we’ve been eliminating things one by one to see if they’re the reason. So far we suspect either something in the protein powder, almond milk, or the hummus, all of which used to be fine.

Ah the life of an allergy house!

We’re also starting to clear out the cupboards in preparation for our next move. We had a HUGE (I mean HUUUUGE) pork tenderloin sitting in the freezer for a couple months. Mr. Nomato LOVES pork, and I, well, I do not, so its time has come! He enjoyed that in his lunches all this week.

Snack:
Broccoli florets with homemade guacamole.

Lunch:
Pork tenderloin with sushi rice and mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans, lima beans), topped with Veri Veri Teriyaki Sauce. In his thermos, a Mango Cinnamon Smoothie with Carrington Farms Flax Chia Blend and Silk brand cashew milk. Told you I was getting inventive!

Dessert:
Athena melon (Does anyone know the difference between this and cantaloupe? Google was not helpful, and my curiosity cannot be contained!)
