One Track: In-Flight Safety, “Animals”

With the East Coast Music Week vastly approaching next month, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, I thought I’d give these guys a plug, as they’ll be playing at the festival between April 9th to the 11th. And that’s reason enough to go check out In-Flight Safety, especially if you’re in the area during the festival, as they’ll be joining such East Coast rock bands as Alert The Medic, Adam Baldwin, Mo Kenney, The Meds, SoHo Ghetto, The Trews and Paper Lions.

I really enjoy this track entitled “Animals”, off of their Conversationalist album that was released just last year, and of course they are nominated for a Rock Album of the Year award. Good for them. Their music off the album is very soulful, artistic, and at times upbeat. If you are fan of bands like Hey Rosetta! or Wintersleep, and into that genuine kind of music, I think you’ll dig these guys. I can’t wait to see them live, as it’ll be my first time checking them out, and probably not my last.

*In-Flight Safety are from Sackville, New Brunswick, and are based out of Halifax. Conversationalist is their 3rd studio album.
