Charlie Brooker’s thoughts on “Marvel Avengers Assemble 3D”

This wasn’t entirely my feeling from The Avengers—though I admit the experience of going to the multiplex yesterday for my second time seeing the blockbuster wasn’t totally different than his. His piece made me wonder when they’ll start charging us for 3D glasses in Canada. Given the gouging already going on ($16.50 for an IMAX 3D movie, more than $13 for popcorn, drink and candy) it seems only a matter of time before they find new ways to drain funds from us. But Brooker’s powerful cynicism is a hoot. Here’s his column, from The Guardian.
